In recent years, education-understood as a mixture of methodologies- has suffered from a lack of innovation. Despite ICTs were implemented in many classrooms at all educational levels, something else was lacking. Consequently, gamification appeared as a solution to this issue. Thus, the objective of this piece of work is to design an educational Escape Room to be implemented in higher education and analysing the data extracted from an ad hoc questionnaire. Such questionnaire was fulfilled by the participants of the pilot experience after completing the game. Besides, ICTs are proposed as a way to deal with COVID-19 protocols and, additionally, lower monetary and time costs of implementation. The results show relevant correlations between different factors of the game, and general satisfaction is high. Therefore, notwithstanding the investment in time and effort, implementing an educational Escape Room seems useful for students.

The goal of the article is to reflect on the meaning of the action of projecting in socio-educational services and in environments that take care of the health of citizens, children, vulnerable people.

The result that the article reaches is to offer a series of useful criteria for those who have to design within this kind of services that take care of the often vulnerable person.

There is compelling evidence that incorporating ICT into teaching and learning improves students' academic performance. Its benefits occur across all socio-economic classes. Despite its relevance, ODL students who must use ICT in their university studies as well as in teaching and learning appear to puts a greater importance on its implementation. As a result, the purpose of this study was to look into the characteristics that influence ODL students who are studying at an Open and Distance Learning university while also teaching in secondary schools. The study used a descriptive survey design and a mixed methods approach. The population of the study comprised 78 ODL students who are secondary school teachers. The 40 respondents and 5 participants were chosen using a combination of systematic random sampling and purposive sampling. The questionnaire, interview, and observation procedures were used to gather and create data. Quantitative data was presented using frequency tables, graphs, and descriptive statistics, while qualitative data was presented using transcripts and themes. The analysis discovered that material and infrastructure resources are in short supply. The teachers/facilitators do not have the necessary expertise. Teachers use computers to enhance their professional job to a limited extent. Teachers’ attitudes towards teaching using computers have a bearing on implementation of the innovation. Schools are having difficulty affording to outsource computer equipment and build computer labs due to financial constraints. As a result, the study suggests that ODL students participate in in-service training sessions or even take computer short courses. Out dated computers, need to be replaced with modern ones which have more capacity. Schools should be subsidised by the government to acquire and built infrastructure Schools and the community need to be staff developed on ways of income generation.

The study looked into the psychological factors that influence secondary school adolescents' academic achievement in the Shamva district. The design for the study is ex-post-facto. The current study population consists of 300 participants who were chosen at random and independently. To collect data, two standardised instruments labelled "Psychological Factors Assessment Questionnaire and Economics Achievement Test" were used.  The instruments' reliability was 0.91 and 0.86, respectively. For the investigation, two hypotheses were formulated. An independent t-test was used to analyse the data collected. The results of the data analysis revealed that school phobia has a considerable impact on children' academic progress, whereas achievement motivation had no effect. The researchers recommended that teachers, parents, counsellors, and school officials be made aware of the existing association between self-concept, anxiety, achievement motivation, and focus of control and academic achievement based on the findings of this study. This would allow them to provide better, more useful, and relevant educational, vocational, personal, and social services to secondary school students, teachers, parents, school officials, and the community, allowing them to recognise and appreciate the presence of individual differences among students and how to best reinforce them in all situations.

Interaction between children’s developmental degree of music and their musical expression continued to intrigue researchers.  Currently, one noteworthy element will be to analyze such interaction from quantitative approach and to detect some predictive methodology to replicate such interaction statistically. In this study, the author extracted developmental characteristics of musical expressions in early childhood from viewpoints of elements of body movement, and applied a classification of machine learning based method on those feature quantities acquired from the participant children. Classification models were applied to the feature quantity for 3-year-old, 4-year-old, and 5-year-old in 2 nursery schools in 2016, 2 kindergartens in 2017 and a certified facility in 2018 utilizing 3D motion capture. In order to highlight developmental degree and to extract feature quantity, a three-way non-repeated ANOVA was applied and a statistically significant difference was observed in the movement data analyzed of the moving average of distance such as pelvis and right hand, the moving average of acceleration such as right hand, and the movement smoothness of right foot. The author classified the developmental degree of children’s musical expression by machine learning classifiers using the feature quantities of motion capture data after let classifiers train with categorical variables of developmental degree evaluated by the author with simultaneously recorded video. The author report here that the best classifier is Multilayer Perceptron Neural Network and the second best is Boosted Trees. The sensitivity result showed that the movement of the pelvis was strongly related to the musical development degree. In order to improve classification accuracy, classifiers such as deep learning etc. can be considered in addition to the further review of kinetic feature quantities, or increase of training sample data etc.

E-business is playing a larger and more important role in today's modern business environment.

In many firms, regardless of their activity or size, electronic communication has become an unavoidable part of business processes. This entails the development and extension of effective external electronic communication with customers, as well as the strengthening of internal electronic communication among employees. This study is an attempt to investigate the effectiveness of applying the intranet in the company "Post" of Serbia. Basis of the research were the employees in "Post" of Serbia, in the region of Srem. The purpose of this paper was to determine the relationship between intranet design and its efficient operation in the company Post of Serbia. According to research and analysis of the results obtained, the current intranet design does not provide its true application, weakening its very important function in terms of supporting the company's e-business. The fact that Serbia is a country in transition, and that market liberalization has a large impact on the operation of public services, emphasises the importance of subject research.Scientific information obtained through research on the title subject may be useful in the management of public services in Serbia and other countries in transition.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the causal relationships among the key educational factors that affect adolescent happiness and to propose policy implications for OECD countries to increase their levels of adolescent happiness. The HSBC score of adolescent happiness in OECD countries was chosen as an indicator, and a number of independent variables such as per capita GDP and per capita educational expenditure amount were included in the subject of analysis. For the analysis, the QCA (Qualitative Comparative Analysis) method was used. The use of QCA has been rarely reported in adolescents’ happiness studies, and are likely to be conceptual and paradigmatic challenges to its adoption in some settings. According to the findings, there are three key factors that contribute to adolescents' high levels of happiness in OECD nations: TEPC*GDP*PUPTEA, tee*GDP*PRIVATEXP, and tee*tepc*gdp*privatexp. In other words, while a number of further steps are required to produce a more parsimonious formulation, the solution in this study suggests six configurations and three prime implicants. The first prime implicant is TEPC(high total per capita expenditure on education)*GDP(high per capita gdp)*PUPTEA(high ratio of students to teaching staff). The second implicant is tee(low total expenditure on education)*GDP(high per capita gdp)*PRIVATEXP(high ratio of private source expenditure on education to gdp). Finally, the third implicant is tee(low total expenditure on education)*tepc(low total per capita expenditure on education)*gdp(low per capita gdp)*privatexp(low ratio of private source expenditure on education to gdp). It is crucial to emphasise that the data reported in this research are simply illustrative and should be examined in a broader context.Alternative causal configurations are acceptable for the complexity of adolescents' happiness, rather than being a limitation of QCA.

This paper examines the relation between adults’ engagement in literacy and job acquisition. In literacy educational settings, adults engage and persist in learning activities for they are mainly oriented in job acquisition. We postulate that adults’ learners who achieve literacy activities, graduate within a job. To collect date, mixed method using qualitative and quantitative approaches was used. Results indicate that 90% of adult learners achieved their learning activities because they have graduated with a job they have chosen to learn and they are performing it. In sum, it is clear that when adult learners recognize that learning activities lead to exercise job, they are not only motivated to learn but they persevere as their future live depend on that job acquisition.

The concept of self-confidence has been dealt with by many interested scientists, whether in the psychological, educational, economic, social, or other vital and different fields. Philosophers, writers, educators and of course psychologists all have emphasized the crucial role played by self-confidence in motivation, affect, and social interactions [1]. Self-confidence is the courage to know yourself, believe in yourself, and act on your beliefs. A definition of self-confidence is a positive feeling about oneself and the world that leads to courageous actions born out of a sense of self-respect [2]. The study shed light on verifying several objectives, including knowing the levels of self-confidence among trained teachers. This study also aimed to realize the effect of the educational qualification program on student performance, and finally, the current study aimed to know the effect of educational qualification program to increase or decrease self-confidence among the trained teachers (students). The study investigated self-confidence with (70) postgraduate diploma education student-teachers. These trainee-teachers “students” joined the educational qualification diploma in the College of Arts and Humanities at A ‘Sharqiyah University in Oman after completing their university degree in various institutions. The researchers used the self-confidence scale prepared by Sidney Shrauger 1990 that was modified, revised, and translated into Arabic language by Dr. Adel Abdullah from the Faculty of Education at the University of Zagazig in the Arab Republic of Egypt and researchers themselves reviewed it according to the Omani environment. The results of the current study revealed that the level of self-confidence among trainee-teachers in the educational qualification diploma program was low. Therefore, those in charge of this program decided to conduct individual personal interviews with the trainees (students) to determine their level of self-confidence and to provide the necessary support to raise their self-confidence level.

Currently, very few Thai Immunology e-Books are available for online study. A newly created one were assessed the effectiveness of its implementation in terms of knowledge gained, written exam scores and student satisfaction by using a quasi experimental research design. The e-Book Reading group and no e-Book group performed higher mean scores in the posttest than in the pretest at p<0.01. All participants passed the Immunology examination and their mean score between groups were not significantly different. It is expected that the e-Book improvement with considant Internet access will fulfill the effective studying in the future.

Videos have become a very important part of higher education institutes. It is integrated as part of any traditional courses. Even though video lectures are very interesting teaching resource for the students, but they lack in accessing the required contents. We cannot access to the specified section of video unless the location is known. The main aim of this chapter is to automatically partition an educational lecture video into various topical segments which is then presented to the students in a customized manner for easy navigation. This approach identifies the topics being covered by the instructor, based on text similarities across the various frames in the lecture video. Fundamental problem in any lecture video is to give semantic query and effectively retrieve relevant contents form long video. Effective search capability for the students can be provided if proper browsing facility is available. Our approach concentrates on the slides instead of a presenter from the projected electronic slides. The method aims in using the video streams of the lecture delivered captured from camera and get the slides converted into images after applying slide segmentation. These independent images have heading and subheadings which will be used for organizing the lecture video. The organizing and segmenting educational lecture videos of the technical contents according to slide changes not only structure the content of video according to topics, but also facilitate the synchronization of video, audio and electronic slides for effective indexing, browsing and retrieval at later stage. The purpose of this work is to make learner easy access to the video contents. Getting to a specific page or paragraph in the text books is easy because of the content page in the beginning of the book and index page at the end of the book. In the similar context; lecture video need a system to extract a text from the presentation slides. The main objective of this study is to develop effective and efficient automated approaches to segment lecture videos into topics and subtopics. This video segmentation and browsing structures will support knowledge searching and e-Learning.

By the beginning of the twenty-first century, education in public and private schools, as well as higher education institutions, was undergoing rapid methodological changes, shifting from huge residential to online, blended, and wireless teaching and learning. On the other hand, assessment, despite being regarded as the backbone of educational systems and the main operating mechanism of classroom educational programs, is either neglected or done irregularly, as in the case of diagnostic needs and formative assessments. Furthermore, the benefits of face-to-face communication, education, counselling, guidance, and follow-up of students' learning successes are often lacking in online schooling (OLS). As a result, it is critical for OLS to adopt a compatible systemic approach to first deliver curricula, instruction, and learning in more rational ways; second, fill the assessment gap that current schooling is suffering from; and third, mentor students of blended learning toward their achievement goals. The systemic assessment framework presented in this study for measuring blended achievement in transnational schools as collaborative learning communities is intended to serve above ultimate reforming purposes.

During the COVID-19 crisis, the current study aims to investigate the relationship between the amount of possessing habits of mind and creativity among students of great academic accomplishment at Qatar University. A descriptive analytical method was used by the researchers. The researchers chose a sample of 12 male students and 250 female students who had excelled in their studies. They were enrolled at the College of Education at Qatar University. They were selected through using the random stratified sampling method was used. Questionnaire forms were distributed to those students through using e-mail. However, 5 questionnaire forms were excluded due to having missing data and 7 questionnaire forms weren’t retrieved. Thus, the final sample consists from 250 female students.   SPSS program was used to analyze data. It was found that extent of having habits of mind by students of excellent academic achievement at Qatar University is moderate.  It was found that the creativity level of the students of excellent academic achievement at Qatar University is moderate. It was found that there is a statistically significant positive relationship between that extent of having habits of mind and creativity level at Qatar University during the COVID-19 crisis. The researchers recommend adding activities that requires using habits of mind to university curricula in Qatar.
