First of all, praise and thanks to God. Because of God’s help, the author completed the book entitled Value Engineering Concept in Construction Project Management.

Value Engineering is a systematic and structured concept for analyzing functions to obtain the best value in construction projects. This concept focuses on function and value in achieving the optimum balance of time, cost, and quality.

The phases of Value Engineering discussed in the book consist of the information phase, creative phase, analysis phase, evaluation phase, development phase, and recommendation phase.

This concept has not been optimally applied to construction projects in Indonesia. Therefore, the author contributes by using this book to provide information to academics and practitioners on construction management in Indonesia. There are numerous benefits to applying this concept to construction projects.

The author realizes that there are still shortages in this book-drafting process. However, the author believes that this book will be beneficial to readers. Finally, thank you for the support many parties have given. The criticism and suggestions are significant to accomplishing the book in the future.
