This monograph is the result of the author's many years of reflections on the causes of the global crisis that erupted at the end of the 20th century and continues to this day in fundamental scientific research and, above all, in theoretical physics. The main reason for the crisis, according to many researchers, was the dogmas of the special theory of relativity and quantum mechanics, imposed on all fundamental science, dominating in theoretical physics for many decades, based on abstract postulates and hypotheses that contradict common sense and everyday experience. Reasoned criticism of the current state of fundamental science, which is at a dead end, can be found in many articles and monographs published in recent years, the authors of which rightly associate this state of affairs with the denial of the existence of the ether - an environment that does not only carry out all interactions of material objects, but also generating the entire material world. In this work, an attempt is made to provide a rigorous mathematical substantiation of the existence of such an ethereal medium, from the equations of which the equations of the structural units of matter and the basic laws and equations of theoretical physics tested by experience are derived without invoking absurd relativistic and quantum-mechanical dogmas, postulates, prohibitions and principles. Such ethereal medium, as it turned out, must necessarily be compressible, globally immobile, but locally oscillating.

The book consists of an introduction, eight chapters and an appendix. In the introduction, the main dead-end problems of fundamental science are considered, the solution of which, according to the author, is possible only when the concept of the ethereal medium returns to science.

In the first chapter, the main properties of the equations of a compressible oscillating ether are considered. A comparison of the equations of ether with the equations of a continuous medium is carried out. It is shown that the ether equations are invariant under Galileo transformations. The dimension of the ether density is determined. It is shown that the dimensions of all other physical quantities generated by the ether coincide with their dimensions in the CGS system of units.

The second chapter is devoted to the electrodynamics of a compressible oscillating ether. The derivation of the nonlinear generalized system of Maxwell-Lorentz equations from the ether equations is demonstrated, the result of linearization of which is the classical linear system of Maxwell's equations. The meaning of the vector potential is determined. The concept of a photon is defined as a longitudinal-transverse screw wave in the ether of constant density. It is shown that Maxwell's equations are unsuitable for describing of movements in the ether of variable density. The Coulomb's law is derived for the electrostatic field of the ether.

In the third chapter, the derivation of the laws of electromagnetism from the ether equations is considered. The Biot-Savart-Laplace law is derived, expressions for the electromotive force and mutual induction of two contours are obtained. A definition is given and an expression for electric current is obtained, formulas for the electric and magnetic fields of the current are derived. The problem of interaction of currents is considered and the correction of Ampere's law is given. The motion of a conductor in a magnetic field is considered.

In the fourth chapter, the equations for the elementary particles of matter (electron, proton and neutron) are derived from the ether equations. The definitions of electric fields, charges and magnetic moments of elementary particles are given and their values are calculated. Correction of Coulomb's law is given. The internal energy and mass of elementary particles are determined. The calculated values are compared with experimental data.

In the fifth chapter, the ethereal structure of the hydrogen atom is considered. The ionization energy of the atom is calculated as the binding energy of the proton with the electron in the ether. The ground, excited and hydrino states of the hydrogen atom are considered. Ethereal explanations of classical physical experiments with the atom are given, including an explanation of its fine structure.

The sixth chapter of the book is devoted to the problem of gravity in the theory of  compressible oscillating ether. The similarities and differences between electrostatic and gravitational fields are considered. The equations of gravitational fields of masses are derived as a consequence of the equations of gravitational fields of elementary particles. The law of universal gravitation is considered. All parameters of the ether are finally determined.

In the seventh and eighth chapters, the etheric theories of the atom and atomic nucleus are considered. Formulas are given and the internal energies and magnetic moments of atomic nuclei of many isotopes of all chemical elements are numerically found. Answers are given to many questions that have no answers in the framework of modern physics of the atomic nucleus. The formulas for the energy levels of the binding energies of various electrons of the atom with its nucleus are derived, the dependence of the valence of the atom on the external energy levels is found. A correction of the table of chemical elements is proposed.

The Appendix contains the basic vector analysis formulas used in various chapters of the book.

The author expresses his deep gratitude to O.A. Grebenkin for many years of support for research on the theory of the ether, without which the writing of this book would have been simply impossible. I also express my gratitude to my beloved wife Elena for stimulating, supporting, creating the necessary conditions and a favorable atmosphere in the process of working on the book.

In the monograph, an attempt is made to substantiate the existence of the world etheric medium, from the equations of which the basic laws and equations of classical theoretical physics, the equations of elementary structural units of matter, the basic properties of atomic nuclei and atoms of chemical elements, are strictly mathematically derived. Such an ethereal medium, not only carrying out all interactions of material objects, but also generating the entire material world, should, as it turned out, be a compressible, globally immobile, but locally oscillating medium. Calculations made according to the formulas given in the monograph, with an accuracy of fractions of a percent, coincided with the experimental data even for such physical quantities, the values of which are considered "anomalous" from the point of view of modern physical science based on the theory of relativity and quantum mechanics.

The book is intended for researchers, graduate students, senior students and everyone interested in the problems of the structure of the universe and doubting in the validity of the modern physical picture of the world.
