Our gratitude goes to the presence of God Almighty because with His grace the book entitled: "Lablab bean (Lablab purpureus (L.) Sweet) in Indonesia Crop and Super Food, Potential for Soybean Substitute and Industry” has been completed. We have compiled this book based on research results and other accurate information, to provide important information about the potential of food crop genetic resources in Indonesia, especially the Lablab bean (Lablab purpureus (L.) Sweet. The systematics of this book include introduction, classification and characteristics of this crop, nutrition value and utilization, cultivation techniques, and its development prospects in Indonesia. The preparation of this book was driven by recent conditions where the supply of vegetable protein, especially from soybeans, which is relatively cheap for most people, tends to decrease. Meanwhile, the Lablab bean as a local bean has considerable potential as a source of vegetable protein.

The author realizes that the contents of this book may have limitations. Thus, we really hope for criticism and suggestions for the improvement of this book in the future.
