Abstract

This chapter delves into the intricate relationship between acromioclavicular (AC) joint injuries and scapular dyskinesis, highlighting the biomechanical and clinical implications of this association. The AC joint plays a critical role in shoulder girdle stability and function, and its injury can lead to significant disruptions in shoulder mechanics. Scapular dyskinesis, characterized by abnormal scapular motion, is frequently observed in individuals with AC joint injuries, potentially exacerbating shoulder dysfunction and pain.

Acromioclavicular (AC) joint injuries are a common occurrence, especially among athletes and individuals experiencing high-energy impacts to the shoulder. These injuries frequently lead to complications, including scapular dyskinesis, a condition marked by abnormal scapular positioning and altered movement patterns during shoulder activity.

Understanding the connection between AC joint injuries and scapular dyskinesis is essential for developing effective treatment protocols. This chapter emphasizes on to see the association between the shoulder joint injuries specifically the acromioclavicular joint injury and scapular dyskinesia.
