Abstract

Fostering creativity in children and youth towards social and global responsibility and inclusiveness is essential for effectively addressing society’s most pressing needs. This article proposes alternative methods for enhancing teaching and learning for creativity, based on humanistic principles and pedagogy for expanding the student’s ability to create value in their lives and in their communities. It emphasizes the importance of connecting the goals of value creating education to the broader goals of social and global responsibility. Three schools attempting to implement the latter are described.
