In the present research, chemically processed jute fiber is added to the starch-chitosan blended films crosslinked with calcium chloride. Starch-chitosan films are very brittle and soluble and hence to enhance the strength and to make the film insoluble, 1(%), 2(%), 3(%) and 4 (%) jute fiber was added to make the blended film more firm and stable. The respective films were casted. The swelling behavior and solubility i.e. percent Total Soluble Matter (%TSM) of the prepared films is measured. Eventually, the prepared films are characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA).
