Crossdressers (including transvestites, drag queens, and drag kings) are acknowledged as transsexuals since they have chosen their identities as a gender other than the one they have structurally incorporated into them. Transgender is generally pushed behind directly or indirectly by many communities as their biological changes are not projected in their physical appearance. Though the Indian court accepted transgender in the year 2014 and then implemented it again in the year 2019 consisting of Non- discrimination, verification evidence, a policy of equal opportunity for transgender people, complaints authorities, welfare initiatives, and healthcare settings, the National Council for Transgender People (NCT), charges and sanctions, and infrastructure provided (such as gender-neutral restrooms) are all included. These laws have been implemented, but our world has not yet embraced transsexual people. However, in India, transgender individuals don’t have separate billing counters, hospital wards, washrooms, transport facilities, schools, colleges, etc. The transgender population is still marginalized, with a rising literacy rate among them they are being hired for high-profile positions in the government sectors. In the era of Modern sciences, barriers are paramount; transgender people feel embarrassed approaching physicians or other healthcare providers or hospitals because in hospitals there are many hindrances such as inappropriate gender discrimination in the billing and outpatient section, emergency department, and public restrooms.
Although medical facilities have advanced to their fullest extent in the modern period, transgender people still avoid seeking medical attention because of internal taboos that act as a barrier and prevent them from receiving care in an emergency. The physiotherapist is taking a stance in supporting the transgender community by exploring and performing research on their physical and psychological related issues in broadcasting the clouded concept to society.
