Abstract

A monitoring system has been measuring operational performance in order to increase efficiency. Management can measure performance to improve efficiency after a system has been created and implemented. P.T. X group is a company that moves in information technology, resources, energy, mining logistic & services. With all information that has been collected, management will be able to produce a decision accurately and increase productivity and efficiency operational. All ships owned by P.T. X have flow metres installed, and the company has been the subject of prior studies. The discussion is furthered by using flow metres as a web-based long-distance sensor that can be tracked at any time and anywhere using a sensor device called eGenKit. To that end, a study is carried out in P.T. X to evaluate the use of a web-based monitoring and controlling system on tug boats.
