Abstract
The goal of this study is to explore Me & MyCity as a teaching strategy from the perspectives of three groups: teachers, principals, and students. 40 schools, their respective administrators, instructors, and 220 students made up the research object. Within an educational perspective, research has highlighted a range of factors that can, to a greater or lesser extent, predict student academic achievement. Twelve-year-old Finnish school students get experience with the workplace by spending one day working in the Me & MyCity learning environment. The Me & MyCity project's tiny societies provide the kids a chance to practice their money management, job-seeking, and entrepreneurship abilities. Tampere joined the Me & MyCity initiative in Finland in 2013, and it is now spreading to other Finnish cities. Me & MyCity societies are virtual communities with businesses and government functions. For one day, students work in these towns' businesses, receiving fictitious wages while acting as the inhabitants and customers of a mini-society. The schools are spread across Tampere and five surrounding towns. This research examines how administrators, instructors, and students see entrepreneurship education and the Me & MyCity learning environment. The Finnish Primary School Curriculum 2016 for sixth graders and amazing learning serve as the theoretical foundation for this study. The research makes use of the grounded theory (GT) methodology of Strauss. Several information-gathering techniques were used to collect the empirical data for the study, including interviews, questionnaires, record interviews, and field diaries based on observation. According to the research findings, the principals’ SWOT analysis shows their unsure to define possibilities of the schools and entrepreneurship education, the teachers consider Me & MyCity as teaching method relevant and good for the pupils, still the teaching material is looking too theoretical. The pupils like to visit Me & MyCity and like to work in the profession they had chosen.
