Abstract

The construction industry makes a considerable contribution to the national economy. Inadequate construction waste management causes a number of issues, including unlawful dumping along roadsides, demolition trash, and construction waste disposal at landfills. Malaysia is experiencing a severe scarcity of landfill space, which has recently worsened across the country, posing a major government resource and environmental challenge. Solid waste management is one of the environmental challenges that most governments have long been worried about. The characteristics of solid waste generated were changed due to rapid urbanization and industrialization. The awareness of citizens determines the efficiencies of the separation of waste and the impacts of the waste management system by the municipal leader in the city.
