Abstract

Many parts of the world have inadequate medical care. As a result, doctors may not need to perform all of their traditional roles, and new roles may emerge. Doctors are in charge of overseeing patient care. They assess symptoms, consider possible diagnoses, perform examinations and tests, counsel patients on treatment options, and monitor treatment progress. Doctors must collaborate at all levels, from regional to international, to develop and provide the best health care to society.
