Abstract

Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET) are self-organizing and self-configuring multi-hop wireless networks with adaptive re-configuration capabilities. The lack of infrastructure, limited bandwidth, dynamic nature, and unpredictability of link failure wreak havoc on network services. In the design and analysis of secure distribution systems, trust is a important factor to consider.  As a result, trust-based security is chosen as a security strategy to strengthen the cluster head in this proposed study. As a consequence, for each cluster, a secure cluster head could be chosen, ensuring safe routing.  A security approach known as the trust mechanism is offered to strengthen the chosen cluster head. It also discusses the draw backs of the re-election process and a new priority method is proposed which gives an alternative solution for the re-election process.
