Abstract

Eigenvalue problems have always gained attention in various scientific domains. In addition to the Standard Eigenvalue Problem (SEP) of the form , there is another fascinating subcategory of eigenvalue problems called Polynomial Eigenvalue Problem (PEP). Due to its broad applicability in numerous domains, the Quadratic Eigenvalue Problem (QEP) is studied mostly among these PEP. In this chapter, we provide an introduction to QEP and its application in solving second order linear differential equations.
