Abstract

Today, internet connectivity and reliability is the heart of every business operation. This chapter discusses a solution to the issue of Internet bandwidth optimization and forecasting in Nigerian higher education institutions. The report also suggests using Langrage's interpolation method to apply for the predictability of internet bandwidth in the educational institutions.  The research presents a unique graphical solution of effective actual bandwidth (Mbps) and the associated acceptable number of internet Users ('000) in the institutions.  The forecast enables us to monitor the actual internet bandwidth and the acceptable number of internet users as the user base grows.
