Dr. Emmanouil Magiorkinis

He is a medical doctor specialized in Medical Biopathology (Laboratory Medicine). He has also studied Biology and holds a PhD in Medicine. He has published over than 90 papers in peer-reviewed international journals with more than 1400 references focusing on Laboratory Medicine,  Virology, Epidemiology and History of medicine, and has presented over than 150 papers in national and international conferences. He is the author of two books and have written chapters in several books in English and in Greek. He currently serves as a consultant in Medical Biopathology in the NHS of Greece, at the General Hospital for Lung Diseases “Sotiria” in Athens, Greece. His research interests focuses on Microbiology, Haematology, Virology, Laboratory Medicine and the history of  Laboratory Medicine.
