Abstract

This paper proposes UPQC control of a transmission line. The main technical challenge with micro grids is the issue with power quality. The main purpose of implementation of UPQC is to mitigate power quality issues, like sag/ swells, flickering, harmonics etc. Custom power devices have been introduced in order to address these power quality difficulties. Among these, UPQC is regarded as a special tool for power quality issues.  Using MATLAB software, the effectiveness of this suggested UPQC is examined for a variety of PQ concerns. The results obtained demonstrate that the suggested UPQC is more effective at reducing power quality problems.
