Abstract

Surface scratch has a considerable impact on Ti-5Al-2Zr-4Mo-4Cr fatigue behaviour. The results of fatigue testing with three different surface roughness are described in this publication, together with test data and fracture characteristics. The fracture features are examined in relation to the change in surface roughness, and the distribution of test data is studied. In theoretical and engineering fatigue investigations, the study of Ti-5Al-2Zr-4Mo-4Cr fatigue behaviour with surface roughness is important.
