Abstract

Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) is a rare disorder of the pulmonary arterioles that leads to right ventricular failure and early death. Echocardiography and cardiac catheterization are essential in the assessment and evaluation of PAH. A pulmonary hypertensive (PH) crises may occur during Right heart catheterisation. The medical management of PH disease is dictated by its classification and requires multiple drug therapy with lung transplant surgery an option for failed drug therapy.
