Pediatric abdominopelvic trauma poses a significant risk to children's health and well-being, often resulting from various accidents, sports injuries, and instances of abuse. This chapter focuses on preventive strategies aimed at minimizing the incidence and severity of such injuries. Key measures include education and awareness campaigns targeting parents, caregivers, and children, childproofing environments to mitigate potential hazards, and promoting the proper use of car seats and seat belts to reduce the risk of motor vehicle accidents. Sports safety measures, active supervision, and early identification of signs of child abuse are also crucial components of prevention. By implementing these multifaceted approaches, healthcare providers, educators, and communities can collaborate to create safer environments for children, ultimately fostering their healthy growth and development while mitigating the impact of pediatric abdominopelvic trauma.
