Abstract

Research generates new knowledge which ensures development of a subject and helps to establish sound theories and practice of the subject. A total of 369 Research articles are discussed based on the study's findings, which include: year-by-year contributions of Research articles, the average number of Research articles published in each volume, Geographic distribution of research articles, as well as Indian and its states' contributions to LIS research. From the study shows that the researchers preferred Indian periodicals to publish their research papers.
