Abstract

Nanocrystalline Cadmium Zinc sulfide (CdZnS) films have been deposited suitably onto cleaned glass substrates by Chemical Method in Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) matrix solution at room temperature. XRD technique is used for structural characterization and the study shows the formation of nanoparticles whose sizes are smaller than that of CdS but greater than that of ZnS. Transmission electron microscopic (TEM) photographs also confirms the formation of nanoparticles. The optical investigation performed by means of UV Spectrometer shows that the band gap energy of CdZnS is more than that of CdS.
