If we suppose that energy travels through space without a source, then there must be no hot or cold regions in this universe. The universe must attain a uniform temperature due to the free flow of energy and should become a thermostat that has a constant temperature. According to \(\lambda=h / m c\) equation, when mass is zero, then wavelength is zero i.e there is no energy. But energy and matter are interconvertible. At sub-atomic levels, energy changes into matter and matter changes into energy. New galaxies are born in some parts of the cosmos, while old ones perish in others. Changes occur as a result of the passage of energy. Natural radiation, such as electromagnetic radiation, and artificial radiation (radiations emitted during fission, fusion, and artificial radioactivity) are both material particles that transmit energy from one point in the cosmos to another.
