Abstract

The purpose of this systematic review was to investigate the effect of mindful meditation, physical activity, and diet on Cardiovascular dDsease (CVD) in Saudi Arabia (SA). The lifestyle in SA increases the prevalence of obesity, cholesterol level, and high blood pressure, and is accompanied by rising CVD incidence. CVD is one of the most common chronic diseases in SA, causing disability and death. CVD risk varies according to age, gender, education, socioeconomic circumstances, and place of residence. Physical inactivity, sedentary lifestyle, saturated fatty acid heavy diet, smoking, and stress are also CVD risk factors. This method of electronic search was conducted systematically utilizing Google Scholar, PubMed, and Medline. The narrative study included forty publications that were gathered between 2015 and 2022. Physical exercise, diet, and mindful meditation are among the factors that can lessen the chance of developing CVD or the severity of disease in CVD patients. This systematic review stressed the importance of physical exercise, diet, and mindful meditation in lowering the risk of developing CVDs in Saudis and reducing the severity of CVD patients in SA. The findings show the role of physical activity, mindful meditation, and diet in reducing the onset or severity of cardiovascular disease.
