Abstract

Susac syndrome(SS) is a rare autoimmune related disease, of obscure aetiology, identified by the triad of encephalopathy with or without focal neurological signs, hearing loss and branch retinal artery occlusions.New research studies have also confirmed increased incidence of SS perhaps because of more awareness and better techniques to diagnose the disease. The use of the recommended non invasive diagnostic procedures like SD-OCT, MRI ,OAEs and VEMPS will led to early detection of cryptic changes resulting in early management thus lowering the risk of complication.
