Abstract

The textile activity has great potential promoting the development of the city. There are natural fibers of very good quality, as raw material to manufacture wonderful textiles. The majority of companies dedicated to this activity are micro and small companies, that are looking for tools that allow them to become competitive. This study aims to analyze the behavior of organizations in the face of product redesign, cost reduction and component replacement, as part of value engineering.  It is proposed to use the factors of value management in the activities these companies in the textile sector in Arequipa-Perú. Structural equations are applied using Smart PLS, processing the information of 157 entrepreneurs in the textile clothing sector. The results of the research provide some evidence that there is a positive and significant relationship between this components and management value.
