The sol-gel method was used to create tetragonal lead titanate ceramic nanoparticles. A solution of lead acetate and titanium isopropoxide was gelated in a solvent system of ethanol and acetyl acetone. The gel was heated for 5 hours in a normal air oven at 120oC to produce ceramic powder, which was then calcined for two hours at 600oC and sintered to 1100oC. The calcined and sintered powders were characterized by thermal gravimetric analysis X-ray diffraction and Scanning electron microscopic analysis.
