Naturopathic Medicine in Ghana: A Qualitative Study

Background: The Nyarkotey College of Holistic Medicine has ushered in a revolution in naturopathic medicine in Ghana. The goal of this institution is to educate and train Naturopaths and Naturopathic Doctors in Ghana.
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to assess the qualitative aspects of Naturopathic Medicine in primary healthcare delivery from the perspective of Naturopathic care providers in Ghana. Methods: The purpose of this qualitative study is to investigate the pull factors that drive consumers to Naturopathic medicine in Ghana. The study also evaluates clients' push factors from mainstream medical.
Results: Respondents believe that, while naturopathic medicine is an important part of Ghana's healthcare delivery system, there are a number of issues that require immediate attention. Conclusion: Naturopathic remedies are crucial parts of Ghana's healthcare delivery system, so there is a need for strong healthcare policy to help regulate the Naturopathic profession and aid integration into the healthcare system.
