In developing nations, labour analgesia is still very infrequently used and accepted. Only 7.14% of potential mothers knew about labour analgesia. In comparison to primigravida and multiparous women, the nulliparous wanted considerably less labour analgesia (p 0.003). The most frequent justification for rejecting painless labour was a desire to give birth naturally. One-fourth of the participants thought that labour analgesia was harmful to the unborn child and against God's will. Although there is a lack of understanding and acceptance of labour analgesia, women with prior experience were significantly more receptive to it. Another significant factor in why labour analgesia is not widely accepted is false information.
