Abstract

Radiographs are the basis for most of the treatment modalities in dentistry, but most of us are unaware of these recording mediums which form an integral part of diagnosis and treatment. Image receptors yield essential diagnostic information for dental treatment planning. It is very essential for the dentist to know the basic constituents of image receptors to minimize errors that happen during the storage and handling of image receptors. This chapter highlights all the basic information required for a dentist to know.
