Abstract

This short monograph includes thorough critical studies on four methods of EEG analysis: 1) disadvantages and errors of coherent analysis; 2) errors in spectral estimates of EEG amplitude compared to direct amplitude measurements; 3) the new method for analyzing EEG synchronicity by envelopes correlation and demonstrating its effectiveness in differentiating norm and schizophrenia; 4) the final solution to the problem of choosing the optimal reference electrode for EEG recording.
