Abstract

Nanoparticles are macromolecular-based solid liquid particles with sizes varying from 1 to 1000 nm. Nanoparticles may be lipidic or polymeric (Solid Lipid Nanoparticles). Solid lipid nanoparticles (SLN) are the most advanced nanotechnology formulations, with numerous uses in clinical health, medication delivery, study, and a wide range of other disciplines. The term "SLN" refers to circular nanometer-sized particles that are either lipophilic or hydrophilic drugs or water or a watery surfactant solution. The development of solid lipid nanoparticles is a potential novel method for lipophilic drug delivery. Nanoparticles, Solid Lipid Nanoparticles, Nanosuspension, Nanoemulsion, and Nanocrystals are a few of the significant Drug Delivery Systems created using the concepts of nanotechnology. According to industry figures, about 40% of lipophilic drug candidates fail because of solubility and formulation stability problems, which have led to intense study into advanced lipophilic delivery technologies.
