Abstract

Contrary to popular belief, the loss of teeth with age is not inevitable, even if its prevalence increases with age, it is possible to prevent it.

This thesis studies the epidemiology of extracted teeth and the prevalence of partial and total edentulism in the region of Monastir and its prosthetic rehabilitation. It also tries to identify the pathological factors associated with tooth loss and tries to compare these values with those obtained by other similar studies.

Discussion of the results provides an additional argument for improving the approach of dentistry in the future.
