Abstract

Simulation the fuel bundle with mixed thorium and study the behavior of different fuel is the aim of this work. The important and attractive point shown in this simulation different fuel cycle (U-Th), (Pu- Th), (U-Pu) could be work parallel. thorium -plutonium mixed oxide is currently used as alternative fuel in the light water reactors in the worlds [1]. (Th-Pu). The utilization of thorium –based nuclear fuel widely provide fissile resources of thorium are three times larger than uranium. Attention on new designed fuel bundle, fuel management produced less poisonous irradiated waste disposal are some aims of this work. Next generation reactors would be used new fuel bundles with different fuel elements. Also attention on mixed fuel is an interesting and challenging point.
