Abstract

The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has significantly disrupted the medical education sector as well health care setups. Nationwide lockdown as preventive step to curtail the spread of this disease led to closure of all schools and universities including medical colleges. Newer initiatives such as Zoom, Google Classroom and Google Meet are used to impart medical education via online classes and interactive tutorials. Since there is uncertainty regarding how long this situation will persist so we should use newer methods to teach online so that medical education shall continue. Beyond textbook knowledge, the involvement of medical students and residents in pandemic efforts can be beneficial for their development of holistic noncognitive attributes such as leadership and adaptability.
