Dr. Saroj Rani

She holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and has been a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Mathematics, Harish Chandra Research Institute. With 07 years of teaching experience, she is currently an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at S. A. Jain (P. G.) College, Ambala City, Haryana, India. Her research spans pure and applied mathematics, focusing on areas such as algebraic coding theory, number theory, and algebra. She has authored over 20 research papers in prestigious international journals and recently completed a 3-year MATRICS research project (File Number: MTR/2018/001250) funded by SERB DST, amounting 6.6 lakh (2019-2022). She has presented more than 25 papers at national and international conferences and has actively participated in webinars, seminars, workshops, orientation/refresher courses, and training programs.
Among her many accolades, she received A. Narsinga Rao Award for her research at the 87th Annual Conference of the Indian Mathematical Society held at Mahatma Gandhi Mission University, Aurangabad in 2021. Also, she has been awarded various prestigious fellowships, including the NBHM Postdoctoral Fellowship, HRI Institute Fellowship, and GATE.
In 2024, she was honored with the Best Young Researcher Award in Mathematical Science for her outstanding research contributions and publications. This recognition was awarded by Digvijai Nath Post Graduate College & Science-Tech Institute, U.P., during the International Academic Research Excellence Awards (IAREA-24) ceremony, held in conjunction with an Online Faculty Development Program on Advanced Research Methodology & Data Analytics.
Her international academic engagements include research visits to prominent institutions, such as the Department of Mathematics at the Technical University of Berlin, Germany, and Maltepe University in Istanbul, Turkey. She has been actively involved in organizing numerous national and international seminars and workshops. Additionally, she is a member of editorial boards, and review committees of several academic journals and multiple professional societies.
