Abstract

This chapter examines the role and effectiveness of interdisciplinary approaches in science education, aiming to enhance student learning outcomes and address complex real-world challenges. By reviewing existing literature, the chapter explores the benefits of integrating various disciplines, such as fostering critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and creativity among students. It also discusses the challenges and opportunities associated with implementing interdisciplinary teaching methods, including curriculum design, educator collaboration, and institutional support. Key findings highlight the positive impact of interdisciplinary education on holistic student development and the importance of strategic implementation. Recommendations are provided for educators, policymakers, and researchers to promote successful interdisciplinary learning experiences in science education.
