Abstract

This chapter aims to highlight about American Serpentine Leaf Miner(Liriomyza trifolii, Burgess). The little golden agromyzid fly known as American Serpentine leaf miner, Liriomyza trifolii (Burgess) (Diptera: Agromyzidae), reported in California in 1970s before in 1979 in Kenya, perhaps via transported vegetables. This polyphagous fly, which is black with red eyes and is native to Florida, is spreading at an alarming rate every year. For the control of leaf miner, Emamectine benzoate (0.05%), Flefenoxuron (0.05%), and Emamectine benzoate are suggested.
