Abstract

The kinetic catalytic method was used to estimate Mn(II) in simulated samples using the D-glucose-Ce(IV) redox indicator reaction in sulphuric acid medium. The estimation was made using calibration plots obtained by using pseudo first order rate constant data from the indicator reaction, as well as fixed time and fixed concentration procedures at various Mn(II) ppm concentrations. According to the findings of this study, the estimated values of the simulated samples are consistent and reliable.
