Abstract

The chapter reviews the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education trajectory in Nigeria, present, and future. The script argued that STEM education in Nigeria has contributed to the nation's development in different sectors such as health, agriculture, and telecommunication in the past. However, STEM education in Nigeria is presently facing some challenges, inhibiting its development. These problems are inadequate funding, lack of creativity and employability skills, low research output, poor quality teachers, etc. The chapter concludes that the employability of STEM education graduates should be the focus of education stakeholders in Nigeria.
