Abstract

The present study assess the teaching method and class evaluation of International Online Teaching during COVID-19. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic presented an unexpected and significant challenge to education where online learning was implemented and issues that no one had previously seen were made apparent. The paper focuses on the related issues and suggests some solutions based on the experience of an international online course and the study of online teaching. First, based on the performance of current software and hardware used in online teaching, the characteristics of commonly used teaching software have been analysed and compared. Then, efficient combinations of teaching software for complementary advantages are recommended to ensure a high-quality online teaching. Second, problems inside of class existing in online lecturing and learning are studied, and corresponding teaching methods have been explored including the aspects of class interaction design and implementation, alternative method for delivering essential video information, and online class management. One of the key factors that encourages the development of global online teaching is class evaluation. The contribution creates a framework for further investigation of the online teaching system for class evaluation. In terms of class topic coverage, the impact of specialized knowledge on learning, and online class engagement, certain objective class evaluation criteria are investigated. Finally, some workable ideas are offered, and they can be used as a guide to enhance online instruction.
