Abstract

Customer authorization during the payment cycle is an important issue. Though many techniques are available, still there is a need to authorize customer's device. In this chapter, a new security algorithm for handheld devices is proposed. The algorithm is based on the call-back technique and the OTP generation using the IMEI number. The proposed algorithm provides the required security for mobile payment with limited resources. The efficiency of the suggested approach is demonstrated by the simulation results using prototype data.
