Management of Wajaul Mafasil (OA) in Unani Medicine

Abstract

The clinical features of Wajaul Mafasil are almost the same as those described for Osteo arthritis (OA) in modern medicine with few exceptions. Unani Physicians have been treating the OA successfully with simple, compound drugs with regimental therapy for centuries.The recent researches on the efficacy of the some Unani drugs-simple, compound drugs with regimental therapy on modern parameters have been discussed in this study. There is a need to conduct Phase III level studies after analyzing Phase II clinical studies, so a promising safe, effective, and economic treatment can be provided to the ailing society for OA.
