Abstract

The aim of this study was to present the diagnosis and treatment of an unilateral  gingival fibromatosis. Hereditary gingival fibromatosis is an uncommon genetic condition also known as congenital familial fibromatosis or idiopathic fibromatosis. It could manifest as a singular disease entity and be passed on as an autosomal dominant trait. Attached gingiva, marginal gingiva, and interdental papilla may all exhibit severe, widespread, and progressive gingival overgrowth in HGF. Plaque removal and gingival inflammation reduction are also part of the conservative approach. With surgery, a gingivectomy can get rid of it.
