Abstract

Designer drugs have been evolved its availability to evade legal resolution. At early time, youngsters were the primary users but now along with the changing trends, these are consumed by a large part of the society. These are psychotropic drugs that can be easily synthesised with other raw materials to produce synthetic compounds. This research was performed to analyze to the designer drugs (piperazine) by using gas chromatography- mass spectrometry and gas chromatography- infrared deviation. In this investigation, it was shown that these procedures gave specific confirmation of each isomeric form of the derivative of the designer drug (isomeric piperazine) as well as confirmatory data for the structural distinction of the components. As studied piperazine combined with other components becomes deadly to human body, therefore this research was done on the drugs to help in the analysis and separation of the various components of the drug.
