A combination of chemical reaction can be happened via successive two or more chemical transformations via cascade MCR in one-pot manner. The term is usually applied to complex targets (often natural products), and the starting materials are usually commercially available. A most common, facile and effective combination name reaction for the synthesis of an useful intermediate in the multistep total synthesis of natural products is a sequential Knovenagel condensation/ Micheal addition. However, the most important one is combination of Diels-Alder cycloaddition and Sharpless Click Reaction which provide complex polycycles and nitrogen-heterocycles as important scaffolds, frequently present in the complex structure of natural products in a completely enantio, distereo, regio-specific, and selective manner. In present Book we have incorporated a comprehensive compilation of various synthetic methodologies adopted by chemists for constructing the heterocyclic rings using multicomponent strategies. A descriptive text and detailed schematic representation of synthetic routes makes it easy for reader to find the best pathway for heterocycle synthesis.
