Ear Drops for External Ear Disease: An Overview of Treatment Options

Choosing the right solution for nonneoplastic condition of the external ear is important for the successful management of the patient. Debridement of the external ear is both diagnostic and therapeutic for common conditions involving the external ear. Otologic drops is usually safe for the common conditions of the external ear if tympanic membranes are intact. Ear hygiene and avoidance of water and ear picks are crucial to avoid recurrent or chronic infections.
